ABOUT ME

I like meeting new people, having a good time and going out with friends. Having a career I am passionate for and amazing friends that surround me allow me to live a full and wonderful life.

As much as I love going out to bars/clubs, I do love a chill game/movie night with friends, or exploring museums, a run in the park,and bike rides! When it comes to relaxing, I love going to The Baha'i Temple in Wilmette, as soon as I set foot on the ground, breathing seems to be so much easier, from the architecture, to the reflecting pool, to the garden, is absolutely amazing, that's one place I like to put my positive thoughts/energy into. Now when it comes to going to the spa, King Spa is the place to go. A 24hr spa, that has a movie theater, to a cafe, to a his and hers mediation room, to 9 different sauna's, ranging from an amethyst crystal room, to a himalayan salt crystal room, all this for $35, I guarantee you will leave feeling purified!!

I love going to burlesque shows, Ammunition is one of my favorite performers. I love getting dressed up and hitting the clubs, as much as I love electronic music, I also enjoy metal, Lamb of God is one of my favorite metal bands. Speaking of metal, well rock music in general, Exit Chicago is one of my favorite punk rock bars to go to, especially on Fetish Thursdays. I have a ritual on Wednesdays, Whiskey Wednesday at Twisted Spoke, HALF OFF ALL WHISKEY, and also has some of the best bloody Marys.

I recently enrolled back in school for Craniosacaral Therapy with a Shamanic Approach, so I've become a shaman. I have completed 2 out of 12 levels and all I can say is, HOLY SHIT! Not only has this been a life changing experience, it's soul searching. When practicing this work if I am recieving or giving, I surrender myself and open my heart for light, love, healing and that's when the spiritual world assists with healing. I have discovered I use to be a Buddhist, a Native American Healer, so I've been healing for many many lifetimes. I use to be in a wolf pack, a French chorus as a kid, (during a session I started singing in French which is a language I do not speak). I know sounds crazy but it's real, because it's what I feel that's in my heart. Basically I am rediscovering the person who I was before life threw all of it's curve balls at me! As much as I use to love going out, it once served me a purpose and no longer does, I find myself content working coming home and focusing on school and travel. As much as I love Exit and Twisted Spoke, I prefer the underground. I feel in love the Chicago underground music scene and have become a HUGE house head, I even started promoting for a local DJ, Microdot. Undergrounds are going to be THE BEST place to hear dance music and will never hear on mainstream radio. And I would like to see what other country and stated have to offer for underground parties, I just want to dance!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to CS through my former coworker, Mel, who then introduced me to a other current CS members and was just in aw with how open minded these beautiful creatures who are constantly exploring the world. My roomie, Lori who I met through Mel, runs a building in Pilsen known as The Art House. There is always something going on there, from DIY art exhibits to bomb fires.

My journey, not only do I want to see what other states and countries have to offer with their music/underground scene, I am also looking to explore health and wellness spas but most importantly, NATURE!

The Sounds is my FAVORITE Indie band. The first time I saw them was on 4/20/06, I have yet to miss a show when they come into town. Deftones, anything MJK. I listen to just about anything. Most importantly, HOUSE! I am a HUGE house head, so if you ever come to Chicago I would love to take you to one of my favorite parties and club, Smartbar. Prepair yourself for an adventure that will have you smiling ear to ear!

Do not own a tv and if I put on Netflix, I end up falling asleep.
