About Me
Just graduated of architectural engineering, I'm not totally ready to start my career. I need first to meet the world and the people living in it, to see that there are other ways of living and to find my own way.
I completed one year of Erasmus in Turkey, where I found myself changed. The culture, the notion of time, and mostly the understanding of my luck of being born in Europe changed the way I see the world. But this was the beginning, and it gave me even more energy to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, the best way to travel and to see the world is actually to meet people. It can be when I'm travelling abroad, as it will help me, as a student to save money and travel longer ;) But also when I will have my own home, I hope to host people to let the world come into it!
I was travelling trough Netherlands in order to improve my Dutch. For the long term we stay, I'm using Workaway platform: I work on a farm of family and in exchange I get a bed and food ;) That is an amazing way of travelling: I'm meeting people and learning their way of life. As a Belgian girl, half of the people of my country speak Dutch. It is the main reason why I feel important to learn it too.
The next step in my journey is Morocco. I dreamed to discover this rich culture and the incredible variety of landscapes and architectures. I'm using the same system, Workaway and Coushurfing to go from the mediterrane coast to Casablanca then Agadir.
Coushurfing is for me a way of continuing this travel, but for short term accommodation and still having the occasion to meet people. Well, yeah, I can go to a hostel, but it won't be the best way to discover the real culture.
Interests
I've always been shared between my affinity for mathematic and physic and the big artistic part of my personality. It leads me to my studies: engineering architecture.
I spend my free time between sport (running, hiking and climbing makes me feel alive as nothing) and art (acrylic painting, photography,...). I also love cooking, especially learning new recipes of the world and baking!

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, Harry Potter as the books that taught me how to read, and stayed with me all my teenage years. Then Pierre Bottero's saga: "le monde d'Ewilan", "À la croisée des mondes" (His Dark Materials), Narnia, ...
I enjoy the most folk music, one of my dreams is to learn accordion (I'm learning harmonica for now, because the sound is close to accordion).
For movies, I'm always looking for good quality author films, but I can appreciate hollywondian movies too, except horror movies, that's not my cup of tea, sorry ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My Erasmus in Turkey, 10 months in 2015-2016, where I discovered another part of my personality. I met people struggling with the political power, students trying to get a visa to study in Europe and of course, an incalculable number of refugees trying to reach Europe. It changed me and waked my need of understanding the world through his inhabitants.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a humble storyteller, I like to share stories that shook me, as well as to learn the stories of others. I also love to share artistic skills and cooking recipe!
I'm learning Dutch ! My level is quite good, I just can't understand the fast and specialized discussions. So any occasion to meet and speak is welcome. In return I can teach French and some English :)
