About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm all about analog photography, really. So I guess all my life is revolving around that way of living. Observing, discovering and wanting to save every bit of it. I have that obsession of wanting to archive everything, always carrying my little black journal and my compact film camera just to be sure that I won't miss anything. That way, I would say that I am curious and always ready to learn. I am really interested in other people, where they are from et where they are going.

PHILOSOPHY

Laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and to share everything I can with everyone I will encounter. I want to discover new people with new ideas, new interests and new stories. I'm in love with getting to know people. I think there is no better way to share and grow than couchsurfing all around the world.

Interests

Well, as mentioned earlier, I'm all in photography and visual arts. I like to wonder in galleries and expositions, seek old abandoned places to shoot on film and stop in the middle of the street to take a picture of a piece of paper on the road because I think it is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I take pictures of anything, really. I only shoot on film and I try to preserve the integrity of my pictures. I rarely stage my subjects. I use photography as a genuine journal of my life.

And when I have to move, I do it on my little black fixed gear bike. I think that cycling is the best way to discover a city. It's just amazing, really.

I also like to do Improv, play football (soccer), play trumpet and knit.
Oh and I obviously like to eat. A lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, let me name drop some of my favorites bands: The Growlers, Future Islands, Real Estate, Klô Pelgag, The Walkmen, Chance The Rapper, Philemon Cimon, Mac DeMarco, Angel Olsen, Justin Vernon and everything that he does, Dead Obies, Neutral Milk Hotel and the list could go on and on and on...

Movies and tv shows that I can't get over: Inside Llewyn Davis, Sherlock, Drive, Moonrise Kingdom, Twin Peaks, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Arrested Developement, Amelie, Friends, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, How I Met Your Mother... and I am a little bit ashamed of liking Back to the Future as much as I do.

My favorite book is The Perfume by Patrick Suskind. I did enjoy Froth on the Daydream by Boris Vian and Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach everything related to photography. It can be analog photography or digital photography. I can teach you how to develop your roll of film, what kind of camera you should get and I can even teach you how to use Photoshop.

I can teach you a little bit of french if you want. It's my first language. Ça me ferait un grand plaisir!

What I Can Share with Hosts
