Overview
About Me
I am 24 years old student from Serbia. Studying literature at the University of Belgrade.
I spend most of my time reading which often means studying, since my current occupation is both about knowledge and pleasure. I also try to connect art of words with visual art, so films, photography and fine arts or contemporary art are also the things i'm interested in. Followed by a soundtrack, too. Traveling is just a way to explore them all directly and synthesized.
I use my free time to compress my lore and convert it into something creative such as short stories and poems, and I have some of them published with a local poetry group and in magazines. I used to do karate and play basketball, but now I'm just able to reconstruct some katas and play ball in the backyard. Political and philosophical thoughts are rather present in my mind, whereas the talking is not necessarily needed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to meet people and share energy by traveling, and also discover variety of personalities and their homes, since that is the most unique experience a one can get on the road.
I've decided to travel without a help of an agency or travel guides, but to connect with locals and explore non-commercial places. I also try to stay flexible while on the road, which is possible with self-organised trip, and needed if you choose to stay at someone's place.
Interests
So, last things I tried to explore in detail were comparative mythology, card decks and Serbian writer Danilo Kiš.
And the intrest which CS is all about:
I've traveled so far, been to Greece, France, Italy, Chech Republic, Germany and Slovenia. I explored as a part of student exchange and as regular tourist, also tried CS twice with a friend, both times as a traveller (in Paris and Amsterdam) before making my own account.
I am communicative and I can say that I easily interact, knowing the importance of having new contacts and value of making friendships around.
