Hello! This is my old profile from when I lived in Queensland. I haven’t edited it much, makes me happy to read it and be reminded of those times.
But everything is the same…except my couch doesn’t fold out anymore, I don’t have a hammock and I live in Tasmania :)

Environmental scientist living and working in the Whitsunday region.

Trying to live as light as possible. Always learning and laughing.

CURRENT MISSION

To see my home and the world from different perspectives. I love feeling like a traveller in my own town and find that hosting helps me see this place through new eyes every time.

Happy to offer you my fold-out couch or an inflatable mattress in my spare room...or even a hammock to sleep in if you're a pro (hammocks = humankind's most underrated invention). I love my job and it takes up a lot of my time, so sometimes it will get in the way of hosting. Send me a message and even if I can't host I'll try to meet up for a coffee or a beer or answer your Airlie Beach related questions :)

Books: wise to steer clear of my house if you're allergic to books. They're everywhere.

Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean, anything by Wes Anderson or Jean-Pierre Jeunet

Learn: teaching myself Spanish and the ukulele. Currently pretty terrible at both, help?

Teach: I love cooking, maybe we can teach each other some new dishes? Vegetarian food is my specialty, but I'm happy to cook anything :)
