About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet interesting people and learn their stories

ABOUT ME

I love to explore the chaos of life. When something unexpected happens and I learn from it, I'm at my happiest. New people help me to break out of my habits, so I'm excited to meet some new people from different places and find out about their travels. I'd like to travel myself and see some interesting places. My best travel experiences have been where I stayed with people who lived there, so this is perfect.

PHILOSOPHY

It's most interesting to explore the edges of things. If you have a choice to do something normal and something that would make a good story, why wouldn't you want a good story?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to start by hosting people, and maybe get out and see some places I've never been before soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All hosting so far. I haven't gotten to go travel. The surfers I've met have all been different. Some liked to socialize and talk a lot. Some were doing their own thing and just crashing on my floor while passing through. I prefer those who want to hang out, but it's all cool.

Interests

I enjoy reading, writing, films, running, playing games, discussions and debates, walking around town, dancing, kung fu, parkour, pretty much anything so long as I'm with interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty eclectic. I enjoy classical, folk, rock, trance, rap, country, blues, soul, oldies, indie, pop. I tend to read sci-fi, fantasy and epic poetry, but I'll pretty much read anything that someone puts in my hand. I've watched thousands of movies, and I enjoy the hell out of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in a fish plant in Alaska for three summers. The stuff that I did there changed me forever. I've run a couple of Spartan races and 200 mile Relay races, I've got stories from those. I'm in the midst of writing a novel, I like to talk about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about places I've never been. I don't like to be a tourist. I want to be an explorer. If you have been some place that I should go visit, I want to know about it. I love to share the places I've been through my experience and see how mine differs from yours.
