About Me
I haven't been active on couchsurfing for quite a while, ie since 2015, hence my low replying rate.
As we're going to move house soon, from Brittany to some other place in France, I thought it a good idea to come back on and use couchsurfing as a way to meet people from our potential new homelands
I've decided to extend this profile to my wife as well, which I feel is justified by our spending 99 percent and more of our time together. Therefore, if one meets me, one is likely to meet her as well, and vice-versa.
Her name is Naïri Nikoghosian, born 1984, grew up in Tehran, Iran and Yerevan, Armenia. She has a profile of her own as well, if you want to know more about her.
What kind of people are we? Rather than resorting to necessarily untrue adjectives about us (even if we're rather quiet as whole), let me tell you about what has occupied our hands and minds for the past three years.
Naïri : teaching English, drawing faces, painting faces, drawing fishes, making teddy bears, cooking, jumping on her trampoline, cycling, sitting in a green Volkswagen van, checking the mailbox, petting the cat, going to the beach, reading French literature, preparing her future life as an artist.
Enzo : teaching English, building a tiny house, building the prettiest shower booth ever, building a stone wall, cooking, preparing in thoughts my future life as an artist, cycling, driving a green Volkswagen van, rediscovering meat, cutting grass with a scythe, riding marshrutki to Armenian villages, hoarding old pieces of wood and metal, reading English literature
Together : seeing beautiful places, watching movies, arguing about the deep meaning of these, helping with each other's activities, eating delicious food, cycling to the local supermarket to buy the ingredients, going to the dump, growing squashes, growing strawberries for the birds, socializing from time to time, sleeping in a green Volkswagen van, listening to audiobooks before sleep, improvizing dances, meditating, yoging
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why am I on couchsurfing?
I used to answer that question quite ideologically. But after a lot of hosting and "guesting", for better or for worse, my feelings about it have become more practical : fond couchsurfing memories outbalance awkward ones. As a host and as a guest.
