About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, speak, explore, share

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Eric! I'm an actor and a substitute teacher. I like to eat omnivorously and have a weakness for pasta and burritos. I watch Rick and Morty, Game of Thrones, and British detective shows. I'm planning my first solo backpacking trip in Europe to France, Germany, and Spain! I'm easily entertained and enjoy Chicago Cubs baseball.

PHILOSOPHY

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
- Henry David Thoreau

Don't raise your voice. Improve your argument. - Desmond Tutu

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to couchsurf this May/June as I travel through France, Germany, and Spain!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed once!

Interests

I enjoy photography, learning languages on Mango, cooking meals, staying active, watching movies and good historical series like Peaky Blinders or Vikings, and staying up to date on current events and cool science stuff. I can play some chords on guitar, and when I'm drunk I occasionally rap and/or do accents. The New Zealand one comes out a lot, especially after drinking wine for some reason.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have climbed two 14,000 ft. peaks in Colorado (Mt. Princeton & Shavano.

I've met Dave Bautista, aka Drax from "Guardians of the Galaxy."

He comido "pescado zarandeado" en la playa de Topolobampo.

I've walked through the art-filled, collection-cluttered homes of Pablo Neruda, Chilean poet.

I've shared over 6 months of my life with someone I love.

I bought last minute plane tickets to Chicago to party outside Wrigley Field for Game 4 of the 2016 World Series against the Cleveland Indians. The tickets were too expensive for me to get in, so a friend and I took in the Wrigleyville atmosphere for a couple hours, before I left for a John Goodman themed Halloween party. It was the first World Series the Cubs had been in for 71 years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some money for food or drinks! I can help carry or move heavy objects, or I can paint, or I can act or sing for you, or whatever. We can talk it out.
