Overview
About Me
Home is Erie PA, working as a traveler/contract Therapist, serving facilities that need staffing for providing therapy to their clients or residents. I've been in West Virginia for two years: Morgantown 1/2 yr,; Wheeling 3 mos; Fayetteville/Oak Hill 1 yr; currently in eastern panhandle. Boy, if I could make Fayetteville home, I would! A lot to do, friendly people, tons of recreation! I have two grown daughters in Erie with my oldest also having a family of her own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling as I do, I'm used to meeting new people and staying/renting in their homes. I'm back in Fayetteville for rafting the upper Gauley the weekend of 9/15-9/17.

Music, Movies, and Books
Coldplay; early 90's (10,000 Maniacs; FYC); contemporary Christian; always up for checking out bands at local club/tavern.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most "amazing" thing I've done is becoming an instant Dad of two when dating and marrying at 28. At a time when I least expected it, I had the ability to learn, genuinely love, and become the one they called "their Dad". Now, that's an amazing relationship with the two girls I call my daughters!
Amazing?
Well, people are typically impressed how I keep up a household in Erie PA, while working as a traveler/contractor clinician ithroughout WV, PA and OH.
As a youth, I was in a school marching band that was invited to play at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. The next year, attended Scout Jamboree.
As a young adult, recovered out of a coma when first diagnosed with Diabetes; inspired toward entering a healthcare profession.
Otherwise, my life since I was 28yo was that of being a positive male role model for my daughters (step-daughter, but never made that distinction since we were the primary family for them). Also spent some years with my wife providing a foster home, for countless and memorable kids.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've learned more and more, that keeping your cool in what seems like insurmountable circumstances, is important to keep control on those circumstances. Keeping a positive mind shows that you know you'll come out of that trouble unharmed.
It's easy to push people away with negative thoughts, negative talk, and negative vibes.
The phrase is true!
