ABOUT ME

I live in Seattle now,and I've been in France, England, Canada, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands over the years. Also had a good time in Hawaii (who hasn't?).

So seemingly, travel is my thing, but I haven't done a lot of flying lately, more caravanning around Washington State and British Columbia.

I like to photo, and I like to have a good tipple....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS because people need a good night's rest on a decent surface in a decent space without having to pay scads of cash.

Interests

Love to go here and there, love to photo, actually enjoy my day job, and enjoy building model trains, and gas-powered model aircraft.

I go to movies very seldom, and I never remember what they are about. I liked the Star Wars movies and The Red Ballon though.

Books- ahhhhhh there are so many. Best of all time though. Gone girl (don't hate!), Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, The Joy Luck Club, Autobiography of Malcom X, Letters from a Birmingham Jail, Jaws, anything by John Grisham, anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The War of Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts, Don Quixote, and travel and cookbooks...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I witnessed many earthquakes growing up in Southern California. These can be terrifying incidents.

2. I helped both my children birth at home and it was great..

3.Our family and our friends were being shot at by a drunk and despondent man in a campground on the Pacific Ocean, and we devised an escape plan (yes...there are no cops when you're camping) and got out after an hour or so to safety.

We have the choice of a fold-out futon couch, or an individual bedroom....

There will always be cereal in the morning...
