About Me

Currently, I am a tour guide in Coldfoot, Alaska. I work 55 miles above the Arctic Circle and show guests the beauty of the Brooks Range. This is my third season working in Coldfoot and my sixth season in Alaska. I just celebrated my 10th year of traveling that has allowed me to live in Montana, California, Alaska, South Korea, as well as the past two plus years in Thailand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I will be traveling Europe, starting in early April. We will be traveling through Ireland (April 4th-12th), Scotland (April 13th-23rd), London (April 24th-29th), Paris (April 30th-May 3rd), and finally Italy (May 4th-24th).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a a guest I spent a night several years ago with an awesome host in Anchorage on my first night. As a host, I didn't house any guests, but met up with some RPCV (returned Peace Corps Volunteers) in my main city for a few days during my Peace Corps time.

Interests

My girlfriend and I love traveling and meeting new people. Some of our favorite experiences in traveling so far has been trying new and exciting foods. We prefer getting off the beaten path and trying local dishes. We also enjoy reading while traveling and I especially enjoy reading travel writing books as well as classics.
