I want to travel as much as I can and see the world and more importantly all the different people in it. I want to learn and make life long memories. I want to live!

ABOUT ME

Currently a student at Yale University. Not sure what my major will be yet, but I enjoy Social Sciences. Grew up in California. I love to laugh and talk with people. I also love traveling to new places and trying new things. I am an open minded person willing to experience new things.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to stay true to yourself and surround yourself with positive people who make you feel loved and good about yourself. I live my life to try to better myself and to improve the lives of those who I love and those who are important to me. I want to make a positive impact on this world in any way I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I am currently a student, I don't have a couch or a place to host others yet, but I hope to be able to help host other couchsurfers as soon as I have the resources. Right now, I'm still getting to know the Couchsurfing community and way of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed many times in the summer of 2014 while traveling through Europe with my friend before we went to China for an intensive Chinese study program. I stayed with 4 different hosts.

Interests

I am interested in many different TV shows including Game of Thrones, Sherlock, House of Cards, Friends, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, etc.
I am also interested in other people's cultures and ways of life.
I love traveling and plan to continue to travel and explore as much of the world as I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have studied abroad in Nicaragua for 3 weeks in the summer of 2012, where I got to learn from and interact with the local people and culture. I loved the experience and plan to continue traveling all over the world. This was what really ignited my love for traveling, and ever since then I have been taking every chance I get to get out there and see everything the world has to offer. This has included backpacking through Europe for 4 weeks and then living and traveling through China for 10 weeks in the summer of 2014.

I've also studied abroad in Peru for a summer to learn Spanish.

The next summer, I completed El Camino de Santiago in Spain, which was a 4 week long pilgrimage where I walked from Saint Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: I want to and am open to learning everything that people, places, and cultures have to offer me.
Teach: I am willing to teach people anything I know. I know a lot about history.
Share: I am willing to share anything reasonable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my own experiences and stories from traveling, learning, and just living. I think this is one of the greatest aspects of couchsurfing: being able to meet people from all over the world and see the world from their unique perspectives. I would love to contribute my own perspective to the rich diversity of the couchsurfing community.
