I like to think I'm a nice guy with a great sense of humor. I like grabbing a beer with friends, watching a football game (both the European as the American kind), or just cocooning at home. Or another multitude of activities.

When traveling, luxury is not the priority. I'm mostly looking for experiences that are as off the beaten path as I can find, within my very limited travel powers obviously. I don't want to see myself as a tourist, more a visitor ;) Although that doesn't mean I don't like events that involve people. A nice evening with others, or spending the day at an waterpark can bring me as much joy as strolling through a nice quiet town or hiking in nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling, and lately that's a solo event (lacking a companion). Traveling solo (to me) means meeting new people, preferably locals. Couchsurfing seems the perfect means to that end. They tend to know all the good spots. And as always, it's a question of give and take. On top of that, I'm proud of our beautiful city, so always happy to show it off! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took the leap of faith to start traveling solo. Nothing spectacular, I know... I've done lots of fun stuff, but the label "Amazing" is not easily earned.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've lived in (around) Antwerp my entire life, so I'm capable of playing guide, including leading visitors to cosy bars and restaurants who serve local food. Aside from that, I'm quite sociable. At least, that's what I've deducted over the past years... ;)
