About Me
Moi! I'm Erik from Finland, nice to meet you!
Born into a bilingual family, I've always been exposed to plenty of languages. I really enjoy taking on the challenge of learning a new language and seeing my progress!
In 2017 I made the best decision of my life and decided to apply for a year of Erasmus student exchange at UPV in Valencia, Spain. The experience really broadened my horizons and nowadays I'm much more open-minded and eager to meet new people from all over the world!
I study computer science at Aalto University in the capital region of Finland. I'm currently finishing up my masters degree. I'm really interested in computer graphics, if that's your jam we'll surely have a lot to talk about!
I've been playing floorball, an indoor sport especially popular in the Nordics, since 2008. I also enjoy running (I want to run a marathon one day), music (I've played in a band in my youth), and all things computer science and technology!
See that big grin in my profile photo? That's what I look like when I have my first coffee in a while! A Guinness will produce the same effect ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've served in the Finnish military for a year. For Finns it's really nothing exceptional, since it's compulsory for all men, but the experience was nevertheless quite memorable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An insight into different cultures and languages, and surely a few memorable experiences as well!
