Über mich
Disclaimer: I try to reply when I can, but I unfortunately can't keep up with the number of requests. Please don't take offense if I don't respond.
I'm 29 years old, working in computer engineering, currently living in Amsterdam. A few of the things that I enjoy are hiking in mountains (especially in winter Tatras because nothing can beat that view), traveling around, riding the motorcycle, playing the guitar with some horrible singing attempts and gaming. I'm happy to hang out and explore the city, I moved here in corona times, so I still have a lot of things left to discover here.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I was already hosting some people from abroad before and made friendships that last to this day, so I decided to get on Couchsurfing, which proved to be a good idea. I've surfed for the first time in 2019 and it was an amazing experience both personally and in terms of learning about the city I went to, so I decided to keep that up in hopes of having similar experiences and meeting a lot of different and interesting people.
I've been getting a lot of requests recently that are not really in the couchsurfing spirit, so I decided to add some basic things here about staying at my place: I won't be hosting you for weeks nor can I leave you the flat and a set of keys when I'm not at home. I'm happy to host you for a few nights and hang out / not hang out depending on our schedule, but I'd like to host someone who has done the minimal effort of reading my profile before asking for a room. So if you did read my profile, please start your message by pointing that out, so I will know to read your message. I hope I did not come off too harsh. That's not the intention, but the recent surge of requests made me feel like I have to point these things out. With that said, feel free to reach out! (Regardless, it's crazy right now in Amsterdam with the number of people wanting to come, so I still might not respond. My apologies in advance if that happens)

Musik, Filme und Bücher
My all-time favorite artists are Damien Rice, I don't believe his presence on the stage could be compared to anyone else's, he inspired me to invest a lot more in music than I did before. Besides him, the other top 3 would be The Tallest Man on Earth and Ben Howard and Blanco White, I love listening to them and butchering their music with covers. Other than that I have a rather mixed taste so anything goes from Moderat to Tame Impala.
Too difficult to single out movies(series) / books but I guess Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Expanse, Of Mice and Men, Dune, Catch 22, A Clockwork Orange and probably a bunch more I forgot about.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Besides learning about your language I'd really love to learn about any musical skills or interests that you have, especially if you play an instrument. In return, I can teach you some words in the extremely weird Hungarian language, some songs on the guitar or maybe slacklining if the weather allows it.
