HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i try to be a fantastic host and a respectful surfer. i tell everyone i can about this wonderful project!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my first couchsurfing experience was amazing ~ i was the surfer, and my host was the perfect role model for the type of host i hope to be. she walked me to the subway station and taught me how to ride it, made me extremely comfortable to follow my routine, made mouth-watering meals, and was a wonderful conversationalist.

books: brave new world - Aldous Huxley (a MUST read, in my opinion), the illustrated man - Ray Bradbury, fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury, the alchemist - Paulo Coelho, the screwtape letters - CS Lewis, last chance to see & the hitchhiker's guide series - Douglas Adams, trinity - Leon Uris, angels & demons - Dan Brown, anything by Wilbur Smith.. darn, this list could go on and on.. i need a book in my hand to breathe.

movies: the full monty, billy elliot, the matchmaker, amelie, muppets Christmas carol, reservoir dogs

music: my playlist looks like it was a collaboration between a multiple-personality disorder sufferer and a 5 year old.. anything from brit punk to classical to folk to 80s to raffi to whatever you put on... i love music

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

i've (quite naughtily!) stood inside a 5000 year old house at Skara Brae in Scotland.. amazing to actually be able to touch history like that! i, however, will not post the picture of me smiling next to the "do not enter" sign ;)
