ABOUT US

Erwin and Rhianne
We met each other in 2005 during a holiday in the Giant Mountains in Czech Republic. Rhianne was there with her parents on a walking holiday and Erwin was with a group on mountainbike vacation. We sat there in the same hotel. In early 2008 we going to live together and soon after turned out we had a common dream, which is a distant journey. In the beginning, discuss a short trip of several months. Writing down everyone's plans and a visit to the Holiday Fair in Utrecht made sure that from that time spoken of a possible worldtour. Since Rhianne was at school we could slow our ideas will shape.

In 2009, we have three weeks backpacking experience in Eastern Europe. We visit Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro. The decision was taken, we're going on a world tour!

In 2010-2011 we made a worldtour from 364 days. We visit many countries around the world.
In 2013 we did the Transmongolian Railway and a grand tour in Mongolia.
On our travelblog dewereldrond.net we wrote down our stories from these trips.
In 2014 we bought an old house en after a year of improvement we had our own dreamplace.

In January 2015 our son Jasper was born. In may 2016 we took him with us for two weeks travelling in Iceland.
With the birth from Mirthe in September 2017 we made our travel family complete.

At the end of Octobre a new travel adventure starts. We go for two months with the hole family to Mexico.

Erwin about Rhianne
I will tell you the facts. Rhianne was born in 1988. After primary school and secondary school starts Rhianne with Pedagogical study in Nijmegen. In July of this year is Rhianne cumlaude Graduated. Since her sixth Rhianne is a scout at heart. With hiking Rhianne is therefore grown. Combined with the will to see something of the world and come into contact with other cultures, backpacking perhaps a logical next step. An idea to go to Asia was brewing for some time because her older sister after a trip with good stories had come back. Also South Africa has long wanted to visit Rhianne. With this trip Rhianne explore new frontiers and old boundaries.

Who is Erwin? A boy born on January 10, 1982 to -10 C. Will that be the reason that you can stand the cold so well? Erwin has 4 years after high school decided to do Electrical MBO. Then, in 2006 his diploma in Electrical HBO here.

At work he is busy with LIGHT: fixtures, lighting calculations, Polaron, Lux and not to mention a phone that does not stop ringing. Erwin is my "LIGHT" (read sun) at home.

From who Erwin has his traveling nature, knows no one. From home is not much he went beyond the Dutch border. Perhaps this is why he wants the world discover and prairie frontiers. See and experience new cultures, nature, animals and beautiful moments. Also a time to quit after a "relaxing" trip a fresh start. Maybe an own house, buy a cat?, a new job? and ...?? Who knows what will bring us.

Erwin wanted to study after all a journey, but a friend (which costs money) has ensured that the step which has been postponed, sorry! BUT now we can work this unforgettable journey. Erwin has very very much, fortunately. And put the money aside for all his love lots of fun things to do. Especially to a bungee jump is high on his list! And then of course it also has the highest love you can make in South Africa from the Tsitsikamma arch bridge, only 216 meters high, so the Bloukrans river. Well, then just above it ... Whether this is coming from there, who knows!
