About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Filipino hospitality is incomparable. For my kindred souls who needs a simple shelter in my country, my door is open. Feel at home.

ABOUT ME

"nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future" - Chriss Mccandless

Photographer, adventurer, and food-tripper. Love to swap travel stories and constantly planning trips on my mind.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a true believer of "life is short" saying. I feel the need to see the world and embrace other cultures and people as long as my knees would allow me. To my kindred souls "Welcome to my country, i hope i'm welcome in yours."

To live in harmony with everything, it all boils down to one thing: respect. Respect for the people and cultures you meet, respect for the environment, and respect for the space I am sharing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We'll i have a very small flat which could probably accommodate one or two backpackers. Location is near the airport so you could crash in my place a day or two before your flight. My work is freelance so i could show my guest around given enough planning on schedules.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I got to meet interesting people being a member of Couchsurfing.

Interests

I am very passionate about photography, travel, and nature conservation. I founded Escape Outdoors Club Philippines, Inc., a decade ago, which caters to young (well, I used to be young) professionals to discover the hidden gems or exotic locales of this country. And we do it on a backpacking style, meaning, would rather camp or stay in home-stay rather than get hotel accommodation, or would rather check out the local market and cook our own food instead of eating in a restaurant, and would rather rough it out with local transportation rather than rent air-conditioned coaches. We do everything on a budget and get to immerse ourselves with the people and their culture. We have an annual outreach project which aims to share something to the poor folks in far-flung provinces like old books, used clothing and toys, and some food stuff depending on how much fund the club were able to raise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore watching movies: art films, classics, foreign films and some occasional B-Movies.

I am very passionate with music. I enjoy 60s and 70s Classics, 80s Brit Pop, and 90s Alternative scene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When i discovered Mararison Island in Antique and Cresta de Gallo in Romblon.

When i witnessed spectacular sunrise in Palaui Lighthouse.

When i swam in the natural pools in Biri.

When me and my friends immersed ourselves with the vibrant culture of the T'boli tribe in South Cotabato.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to share my country to the world and teach people our beautiful culture.
