Overview
About Me
Hi fellow travellers, I'm an English teacher in Dublin and am having an ace time meeting people and exploring the city! I have just come back from teaching English in Moscow which was quite the experience, unfortunately I didn't meet any bears or Putin.
I'm a very relaxed, open and spontaneous person who really believes in the philosophy of anything can happen as long as you work for it and throw yourself into it. For this reason, in the past 2 years I have tried things I never thought I would do before and met so many lovely new people doing so.
I go hiking every weekend and spend a lot of my time outdoors when I can. I enjoy dancing to absolutely anything and flash mobs which are great fun!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing saves me a lot of money and still enables me to explore some wonderful places. I often travel solo and although this is rather liberating as I set my own schedule- it can get rather lonely. I would love someone to chat with, share a cup of tea with (or equivalent beverage) and meet some ace people. The extrovert in me loves meeting and chatting away with everyone and Couchsurfing is great for this. I am of the opinion that 99% of people are good people and I really believe in sharing stories and experiences with people from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes into Music- I'm a massive soul, jazz and disco fan. For this I blame my father. Love the legends like Aretha, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, The Miracles. However, I have managed to squeeze in some music that is a bit more current. Huge fan of Christine and The Queens, Petit Noir, Janelle Monae, Robyn, HAIM, The Internet and Childish Gambino
Movies: West Side Story, Casino Royale, anything with James Stewart in it, anything directed by Todd Haynes, We are the best, Moonlight, O Brother Where Art Thou, Burn After Reading, The Full Monty, Revolutionary Road
Books: I mean this is an impossible task, I read like its going out of fashion so will just pick a couple. Anna Karenina, Jane Eyre, Donna Tartt, Maggie O'Farrell, The English Patient, Shadow of the Wind, Knausgaard my struggle, Proust, Tove Jansson, Jo Nesbo, Anne of Green Gables
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once accidentally went to Amsterdam and ended up performing at the International Youth Games as a dancer. How this happened still remains a mystery to me.
Also, on top of this. I once ran a marathon and then straight after this, went to a roller disco until 3am- the madness of youth eh
Teach, Learn, Share
Well being a native speaker of English, I am happy to help you learn English or answer your burning questions about our infuriating language and its many peculiarities. I can teach you how to juggle, Cossack, dance and how to make a proper British cup of tea.
When it comes to learning, I am up for learning any language. As an English speaker, I think its shocking 99% of us only speak English and nothing else. Also, if anyone is up for teaching me circus skills- I would like to add to my small repertoire of skills.
I can share with you an amazing lemon tart, stories of my many scrapes and a passion for dance
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very chatty and would love to hear all about your stories, life and what you get up to. I am up for pretty much anything!
