About Me

Hi! I'm Eudes. It's a french name but quite doesn't exist also in France. The only time I've heard about one Eudes is in "Les récrée du petit Nicolas" de Sempé and Goscinny. Anyway.... I was born in Papeete in French Polynesia. Since I walked on all fours on virgin beaches in Tahiti I'm an enthusiast of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the most intense memories of my travels around the world is when in Dazhai (a city of rice terraces in China) an old woman has seen us (me and my ex girlfriend) cold and lost; and without knowing anything about us and being unable to have the slightest communication she has invited us to warm in her home around the hearth. That night as I ate a dinner, as poor as it was amazing, around the fire in silence among strangers, I was in the family, I was at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to define it depends on my mood: Manu Chao, Vinicio Caposela, Ben Harper, Chinese Man, Eddie Vedder, Nirvana, Jean Michel Jarre but also Ennio Morricone with "Once upon a time in the West" makes me feel the wideness, Mascagni with "Intermezzo" di Cavalleria rusticana I get emotional like a child. For the movies I can mention some directors: brothers Cohen, Tarantino, Wim Wenders, Christopher Nolan, Sergio Leone, Fellini, Kubrick, Scorsese, Terry Gilliam, Scott... there are a lot!! For the books in the past i was attracted more by detective stories. But now I have a thing for the Japanese authors: Murakami and Banana Yoshimoto in primis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Caribbean Sea in Colombia on a 3 meter "lancia" during the last hurricane. The boat literally surfed on these terrifying waves in the storm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach italian, french some very basic chinese; some sports like rugby or how to improve skills in running or trail, some circus staffs like acrobatic or juggle. Other things that I cal teach.... to cook italian food...
For learning I'm costantly looking for new suggestions and experiences.
The sharing is the soul of the whole experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my listening, my travel experiences, my personal reflections on life, my energy, my enthusiasm.
