About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save up enough money to visit Cuba!

ABOUT ME

I don't enjoy talking about myself, but I love having interesting conversations with people whether it's about traveling or anything else. I love cooking.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be as open-minded as possible. I'd like to travel and meet people all over the world. I'd like to learn several languages and go bird watching in Papua New Guinea. I want to overcome my fear of heights. I want to learn something new everyday. I want to enjoy the good things in life with others who are just as excited for and in awe of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be honest, the extent of my CS participation goes to asking locals for advice about places to eat in a town I've never been to. I'll try to get more involved. I'd like to host one day and I think that it would be neat to be hosted as well. I should be able to host couchsurfers around May or June 2017!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing at my friend's and family's places but I want to open my home to others in the same welcoming way I have been received.

Interests

Languages, cooking (and eating!), finding great movies/television shows to watch, pushing my boundaries, learning new things. Dogs!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? I think everyone has more than one amazing thing that they've done! Attending a concert in what was once a WWII bomb shelter in Berlin. Climbing to the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Seeing the view over all of Rome. Embarking on a day trip that turned into one hell of a journey for the best beer in the world. Cooking and dining with a Tuscan chef in Tuscany. Climbing a fire escape made entirely of books in Venice. Walking ten miles in one afternoon in Amsterdam. Fiery absinthe drinks in Prague.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I know: some Korean and French, knitting, baking/cooking, random facts. I might have some tips for people who wish to travel to the places that I have been to. Things like: the place with the best gelato in Rome, the side door that leads to an even shorter line to purchase the three euro (standing room) opera tickets in Vienna, and the best shoes to wear into a frozen lake.

Things I'd like to learn: Anything that a person is passionate about. Anything that a person is willing to teach me.

Currently, I am teaching myself how to play the ukulele.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home, my perspective on Kirksville and the surrounding areas. I can suggest things to do around town. My wonderful network of friends.
