I´m Eugenia (30), I was born in Bragado, a rural town near Buenos Aires.

I'm lucky enough to be able to work doing what I love (professional dancer). But I deeply enjoy how dance has permeated every aspect of my life. I love playing some music and simply letting myself be enveloped by the joy that comes from dancing in my living room.

I studied al Teatro Colón Ballet School and worked there until pandemic. I´m also a dance teacher graduated from National University of Arts. I´m interested in writing, I do journalism almost everyday as a way to conect with myself, my feelings and letting my imagination flows.

Since 2021 I run a proyect ("To write from the body" ) that combines movement, literature and creative writing. I have published two books.

I´m moving in may to Salta, a city in the north of Argentina, for a 2 years contract in a ballet company. I´m currently travelling in Europe, visiting family and friends for the first fime (UK/Germany/Slovenia).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to visit some other cities for a few days and I think it would be lovely to experience them with local people. Not just the mainstream places and fast-tourism.

It´s my second trip to this continent and as I will no be lots of days in a same city, Couch Surfing gives me the chance to get to know not only new places but also the real people who live there, having a more enriching experience from a cultural and human point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorites poets are Mary Oliver, May Swenson, Idea Villariño, Rupi Kaur. I admire Julio Cortázar and Borges, of course. My favorites novels are from Milan Kundera and Elisabeth Gilbert.

You can see that I have a very versatile taste in music. From local bands/artist like Lisandro Aristimuño, Gabo Ferro, Spinetta, Bandalos Chinos to international music like Queen, Radiohead, Bonobo, Hania Rani, Imagine Dragons. And obviously classical music like Debussy, Bach, Tchaicovsky and Vivaldi.

I love teaching classical ballet but also movements to stretch our bodies, having a pleasant time in our ordinary experience of living.

Warm presence, conversations abut deep or random thing of life. Music, of course! And the invitation to enjoy dancing 5 min a day, at least :)
