About Me

If I had the talent, I would sing in the opera.

Interests

I study anthropology, but I guess the stuff I’d really like to do at the moment revolves around writing, literature and a bit of movies.
To be honest I’d love to have shamelessly rich parents that would allow me to kind of have the space to make mistakes and you know, worry less about making a living, more about doing stuff I love. Preferably I’d be now sipping lemonade, lying with my feet in the water, reading a book and thinking where I’m going to swim next. Oh and yes, I forgot, swimming is the thing I have dreams about, I travel to places mostly because I hope they’ll have nice water and good rocks and fish around them to explore.

Gotta tell you, I just read the description I gave myself and I promise, I’m really not that pompous I seem!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is like everyone’s I guess: all over the place. At this moment, while I sit in a cafe in Napoli, the music I’d like to be listening to (to be more precise: desperately crave to be listening to) is bloody classical music (maybe a violin concerto, maybe something Vivaldi, maybe in D major) if that doesn’t make me goddamn pretentious, I don’t know what will…

Going further into movies: I guess I’d go with a bit of Abbas Kiarostami, then I’d hit Chantal Ackerman and I’d end with Wells and her first feature film Aftersun (though her shorts are actually also great)

Books, at last, are, I believe, my go-to form of expression as I write a lot. At the moment I’m reading Mia Coutos book (the polish title translates into lunatic land, not sure how it goes in English). I really like Annie Ernaux, Kazuo Ishiguro (also as a person I guess - interviews with him make the world a kinder place) and, trying to stop naming Nobel prize winners, I grew up on Franny and Zoey of Salinger.
