I love deep discussions, and I have trouble getting through the awkward small talk required to get to the real talk.
I like to over analyse tv shows and movies, and dedicate far too much thought to completely unnecessary theoretical possibilities or completely impossible scenarios, but when I find a group who enjoys the same thing it's such ludicrous fun to get lost in the weird and wonderful scenarios we concoct. At the same time, I'm perfectly happy to shut my mind off and just enjoy silly, goofy things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel across Europe this year, as my first year of real travelling, and collect stories, recipes and notes, embrace cultures and ideas, and share my own with the amazing new people I'll meet!
Happy to cook for the host, swap tales of distant lands, give advice, keep people company, always up for some fun so would love to join you and your friends for a party, or equally to have a quiet night in.
I love more than anything meeting people who think like me, and are very honest and open. Also quite enjoy meeting people who think entirely different to me, for different reasons. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is too varied to bother mentioning any of them because none of them can actually represent me.
I love fantasy books, thrilling detective novels, gritty realistic books, science fiction or just plain old science books. Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter fanboy. Also reading Game of Thrones.
I'm also the biggest fan of the KingKiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, can't wait for the third book release.
I'm looking forward to Infinity War and I got quite a laugh out of Thor: Ragnarok, I also saw Three Billboards (In Missouri or something) and enjoyed it surprisingly much. I thoroughly enjoy Disney and Pixar movies, too. Incredibles 2 is coming soon too, finally! Love Flight of the Concords and the New Zealand Mockumentary they're in, What We Do in the Shadows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a night camping with my friends trying to keep a fire lit all night, and boy was that an amazing night for me.

I'm actually a qualified English teacher now, it was so strange dissecting a language I used my whole life and felt so comfortable with, and realising I don't know the rules in any way other than just innately through use.
I love to cook and love to teach, and learn from, everyone I meet.

Also, after reading some reviews of this site, I'm hoping to stay on the couch for free, but when I say I'll make you dinner I'm perfectly happy with buying all of the food I'll be cooking for you and your family if you can point me in the direction of a good supermarket, or even better, accompany me to it! I would love to meet new friends through this, and anybody who I have a good experience staying with will be welcome to stay with me when I get home, of course!
