About Me

Hey! I'm a friendly and fun young adult that lives in Montreal, Canada. I am currently studying music education in University. I can basically play any instrument, going from trombone to piano!

I will be traveling to Europe this summer with my great friend that I know since elementary school! We are both very excited because it will be our first time in most of the countries that we are visiting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said, I will be traveling Europe for the first time in a couple of weeks! I truly believe that the best way to experience a country/city is to meet locals! I can't wait to learn about all the different cultures and to share mine in exchange! I also just want to meet great people that I can stay in touch with after my travel :)

Interests

Music is obviously my most important hobby! Whenever I am bored, I always end up either playing music or listening to music. I also love watching historic/travel documentaries! Haha I just love to learn about new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have to say that my favorite movie since I'm a kid is probably Titanic! haha! I also looooooove Disney/Pixar movies! I think I love them more now than when I was a kid! Being a musician, I also really enjoy musicals or any movie that is about music so if you have any musical movies to share with me, I would love to discover some more! ;)

My favorite book is called L'ombre du vent, by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It takes place in Spain and really inspired me to go visit Spain one day. Of course, I can't list my favorite books without mentioning Harry Potter!! I have read each individual book both in French and in English at least 15 times each!

As for music, I looooooove Beethoven! I think he is probably one of my favorite composer! I also really like Chopin, Debussy, Ravel, Schubert and Schumann :) I also enjoy choral music and composers such as Eric Whitacre or John Rutter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I go to an english university. However, before starting university, I didn't speak a word of english! I had gone to french schools all my life but decided that the best way for me to learn was to go to an english university! My first semester there was pretty hard but I adapted very quickly. Now, I am completely fluent in English :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not super good at cooking but I can share some great french canadian traditional recipes! I can also talk about music for hours! Or even teach you an instrument if you want! If you have an instrument at home (especially a piano!!) I can even play for you!
