This means I am not 'close' to the big most known cities of Belgium.
( But after being in Australia a 1 hour drive does seem close enough.and then there is still the train)
Although it is not very popular it can be really pretty to come visit, especially in spring when all the blossoms are out, we have some spectacular bike paths.
Also we have the best pies/ Limburgse vlaai.

About me

I started going on adventures and pushing myself to limits. And I discovered that it is quite an addictive feeling.
From being very shy a year ago, to traveling alone and wanting to meet a lot of new people.
I even joined CS What?!

But to discribe myself in a nutshell:
I am an animal lover foodie who enjoys being outdoor to have adventures and see pretty things. And likes being inside seeing pretty things and learning new stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It started as a little challenge for myself. Another push to the next line.
I come from being very shy and barely talking to strange people. To deciding I was gonna go work as an au pair for 8 months in Australia.
Meeting other au pairs and having conversations got me to be comfortable talking to strangers. So CS was basically the next step in remaking myself.

And I just love meeting new people.
In hostels the verities of people is really nice and I like meeting new people there. Even though I had some bad experiences as well traveling alone where nobody talked... But then the times that were great made up for it.

But it's just really nice to also meet locals, get to know the culture and see the gems of the place not ruined by tourism yet.
( Even though I also really am a tourist, the amount of pictures I take is insane)

Interests

I love the outdoors. Going for walks, hikes, doing things I regret signing me up for until I have done it. Get my adrenaline pumping.

I think it is safe to call myself a foodie. Eating and cooking. Food in general is just a passion.
Hence why I have to go to the gym or I start rolling.

I'm usually pretty fast content, just seeing or doing something new and I had an amazing day. So traveling is always a win.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book is overheard in a dream by Torrey Hayden. I assume the English one is just as good as the Dutch one.
But basically I like books that shock me, make me cry or just make me mad.

Movies and music is very hard to tell, it really depends from the day, the weather and the mood I am in.
I can't be put in a style.
Although Disney is always a winner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to go to Australia alone for 8 months and live with/ work for strangers. Who ultimately became family to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking so I am more then happy to make you a meal.

If there is any interest I would love to learn you some Dutch words.

I don't like sitting and watching people work, so I would try and help out where I can like cleaning up, doing dishes,...

If you have a pet I am happy to entertain it.
