i studied philosophy at the university of vienna and work in different fields to support my occupation as a writer.

PHILOSOPHY

charlotte joko beck starts her book »everyday zen« with these sentences: »my dog doesn't worry about the meaning of life. she may worry if she doesn't get breakfast, but she doesn't sit around worrying about whether she will get fulfilled or liberated or enlightened. as long as she gets some food and a little affection, her life is fine. but we human beings are not like dogs. we have self-centered minds which get us into plenty of trouble.« i agree and try to enjoy the waves and the disorientation on this ocean in which i row this little boat. and oh wow, such beautiful sunsets.

i hosted, surfed, and met some great people on the way. so far everyone i met via couchsurfing was incredibly open minded, friendly and considerate. yay!

Music, Movies, and Books

music really depends on the situation, i can listen to almost anything. but i really love tool, i really love schubert and chopin, and i really love bright eyes.
i am not that much into movies, my attention span simply isn't the-
books: at the moment i really enjoy reading philip roth, michel houellebecq, chuck palahniuk and elfriede jelinek.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

went to iguazu falls and only got a little sunburnt.
i talked myself out of _so_ much trouble, including tickets, being beaten up by a pissed off skinhead, and a drunk bloke that harrassed women on the dancefloor.

Teach, Learn, Share

i make awesome vegan chocolate cake and pancakes. also i know a thing or two about photography and film making. i know how to set up and (sometimes even) repair computers and also a thing or three about open source software. i can teach you to play basic piano chords.
i actually really love talking about stuff i know, so you just might have to stop me if my explanations go astray.
