We should recover the human part of us, that we seem to loose.

I would say I'm "natural", not interested in too sophisticated people.
So many communication means (internet, mobile phones...) but... looks like we get away from each other...
I live alone (yes, still single ! :) ).
I'm pretty reserved, but could be "crazy". I try to keep a kind of childhood in me.
I don't feel my age at all, so people of every age are welcome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My altruistic side makes me wanna be a host.
That's how I start on CS. My first guests left me yesterday! (21st of may 2016).
If you are more than 1 guest, please let me know and see who the other ones are (logical to know who will stay in my home) : so their CS (or FB or other) links. And I want to see who you are; so, no picture, no positive answer.

I didn't travel a lot; I want to change that !
So next step will be to be a guest, or to find travel mates.
We can learn so many things meeting people from everywhere, even if it's "just" sharing good moments, walking in town or in the country, playing tennis or bowling, having a single drink or climbing the Eiffel tower! :-)

Interests

Human contact ! Seeing friends (at home or restaurant), and making new ones.
Very often riding my bicycle in Paris or near.
Playing tennis, bowling, golf since september 2017, volley ball, swimming at the beach, etc.
I was learning salsa dance.
I often go to the cinema.
I started to ski again at the mountain on february 2017, and I'd like to swim in the most beautiful waters in the world (but not the cold ones! :-) )
To discover other countries, from USA to Australia, Asia, and also countries around me.
And of course, try to improve my english speaking... (sorry for mistakes).

From Earth Wind and Fire to Taylor Swift, from London Grammar to Jessie J; from 70's till now. I saw many concerts. From Whitney Houston(RIP), Madonna, EWF, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Jessie J, ...

"Lord of the rings" (book and movie).
"Meeting Joe Black" (Hi Claire! :) )
"Game of thrones" (best ever; I still didn't watch the end!)
"Black swan"
Marvel movies (I'm still a child I said!) :-)
And so many other ones...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing really awesome.
- But during a travel on the other side of the world (New Caledonia), the best moment was while we were passing through a little village, and saw local people (Kanaks) playing volley ball; we stopped and asked them if we could join them; a little moment, but I'll never forget it.

- In France, hiking the whole "Calanques" (3 days long) between Cassis and Marseille, was amazing. Do it!

In the "Countries I've visited" part, I just write what I really visited.
I could add Australia, but I just saw Sydney 2 days; Egypt but was just one week at the red sea; Italy just 1 day in Venezia, and so on.
April 2022: Roma ! So beautiful city !
June 2023: Firenze !
July 2023: Norway (beautiful)
I want to see much more !

May 16th 2018: The "Nothing really awesome" section above, doesn't exist anymore! I just drove a Formula 1 car (750 horsepower) on a real F1 track (Magny-Cours) ! The most awesome experience I ever lived ! Scaring, impressive and exciting at the same time !

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to improve my english speaking, and maybe learn piano, and whatever people would like to make me discover.
I can of course help to improve your french speaking, show you the first basic steps in salsa, or just walk in the streets of Paris.

If I host you, I'll try to do my best, but you don't have to feel like we must stay all the time together (but just tell me). But CS philosophy is to meet people. So, if you're only interested in having a couch, that will not be the experience I'm looking for.
Just be cool and don't worry at all !

If your request only says "Visiting" or "holidays" or "Love Paris" and so on...
well, that's not my vision of CS experiences.
Talk about you, about us, and if you expect us to do things together during your stay or just on your own.
I like to talk to my future guests before they come; so talking on whatsapp or skype or telegram or whatever... is highly appreciated (even if I accept sometimes emergency requests just to help).
If I feel like beeing seen as a free room, we won't go far together; so let's share discussions, activities and of course also the costs (eating, drinking,...).
And it's also nice to have an answer when someone offers to host you...
