CURRENT MISSION

We love to travel with our kids. They are so much fun to be with. In 2009 we sold our house and spent 2 years travelling around Europe, SE Asia , New Zealand and Australia. It was such a cool adventure after only travelling to central america for the 15 years previous.
In 2012 we rented out house out and spent 4 months in NZ and SE Asia, exploring and reconnecting with friends we had met on the previous trips.
In February 2016 we once again took a break from our regular life, packing our backpacks and heading around the world. We took 4 months, starting in Turkey, then south to Egypt, Tanzania, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and back to Asia and home. Looking forward to CSing with old friends and hoping to meet many more friends as we go.
in 2017 we spent 3 weeks backpacking through India with CS friends from Australia. It was amazing to have that experience with them.
In 2018 we once again wanted to spend some time with our CS friends from Australia and spent 2 weeks in Egypt along with our now adult kids. What a great time that was!!
In 2019 we once again decided to go on an amazing adventure with our CS friends and hiked up to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. It was one of our hardest and most rewarding trips.
Our son Colton then went from Nepal back to Australia with our CS friends and is living with them in Perth while he experiences working and living in a different country. What an amazing opportunity!!
IABOUT ME

We have been married for 34 years. We have 2 children (28 & 24) who are learning so much through the travels we do. Most people enjoy hanging out with our kids because they have fascinating stories to tell. We are an easygoing family who loves new experiences and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

We want to see as much and experience as much life as possible. We don't want to regret not doing and seeing the world. We love different cultures and love to share our lives with those people we come into contact with.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have had amazing experiences couch surfing. Some of best stories are about the interesting people we have met around the world. How better to get to know people than to stay in their home, cook, talk and maybe share a bottle of wine.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We spent 3 months couch surfing around New Zealand and Australia a few years ago. Then went again 2 more times for 4 months to NZ, and Asia. We found we loved the people we met and it turned into our favourite way to travel. We loved the connections we made with our hosts and the things we learned about the areas we traveled in. We've had people that we've couchsurfed with come to Canada to stay with us. It doesn't get better than that.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing thing ever was the birth of our Children. The next best thing was our trip into the Sahara desert, where we rode in on camels and spent the night in a bedouin camp, sleeping on rugs on the sand under the starts. Mmm, want to do that again sometime!

In 2019 we hiked up to Everest Base camp in Nepal as a family with our Couchsurfing friends Craig and Sandra.
