ABOUT ME

I'm currently working on a farm in Harborside, Maine until December. Check out Eliot Coleman's Four Season Farm.

Previous Plans:
For the past year I have been on the Big Island of Hawaii volunteering on various farms through the WWOOF organization. I have just returned to PA to prepare for a fun-filled season of gardening and helping with the family run bed and breakfast. My goals are to eventually form a local CSA, provide healthy food to as many people as humanly possible, and to plant an orchard that will provide for our family and still have a surplus to share with others. I am also interest in raising chickens, goats, and bees. Eventually, I would like to build my own home on our family property. I foresee the farm evolving into an educational facility where local high school students/wwoofers could take a summer internship.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to show what life is like on a farm that produces food 12 months a year in Maine. I am opening up my couch to people interested in getting down and dirty on one of the premier farms in the US. Come work with me and 5 other totally-awesome 20-somethings!! We put in a hard day's work, go jump in the pond or head to the ocean and then cook a delicious meal with fresh veggies from our farm.
