About Me

I'm in this to see, explore, and share the goodness. I'm finding that goodness comes abundantly and in many forms as I say yes to more experiences.

The thing that consistently keeps me happy in life if good people. Meeting bright/driven/fun/exciting/kind people makes this life worth living, and I want to keep making new connections and learning and sharing and experiencing new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have come to couch surfers to make an effort to meet some new people, be they in my town, or on the other side of the globe.

Plus, connecting with locals is a much more exciting way to experience anywhere.

Interests

I am very into skiing, and almost anything outdoors in general like frisbee and hiking and soccer. I’ve picked up surfing and scuba diving and riding a motorbike very quickly in my travels.

Healing arts, circus contact props like poi and staff, human movement, burning man and global burning culture, beer, farming, permaculture, organic food and cooking, sustainability, CBD medicine, minimalism. I have worked in building and construction for most of my life. I have recently shifted my ideals pretty radically into protecting the environment and have thought a lot on the hypocrisy of traveling and tourism. How does one fly around the world and call it “eco tourism?” I don’t really know... I have stopped trying to visit all of the GPS coordinates to find happiness. I try to pick and choose wisely. And again, connect with people. Share ideas and quality moments. Enjoy it while I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: anything Vonnegut. I just finished reading Farenheit 451 (twice because it was so good). Enders Game was my teenage favorite. The giver and animal farm. Dystopian classics seem to fill my shelves haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

All things farming. Poi and some other flow arts. Building and construction. Music making. Cooking. Cleaning. Hugs. Massage. Good vibes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an excellent cook and maid. I make a good workhorse, too, as long as I get a carrot when I finish. I speak English well and very clearly so language trade is always nice. I’m usually a fun person to be around. I will learn any new skill you are willing to teach me and at help you with any task you need help with. I think I'm pretty funny - I love when I can make jokes in foreign languages. I’ve been told I’m very Zen many times along my travels. A good listener. A calming/grounding energy.
