CURRENT MISSION To get off the tourist trail and experience South America in a more genuine way. To continue to improve and become fluent in Spanish. To understand the world, others, myself (excuse the cheesiness). And of course to meet interesting people from all over the world! ABOUT ME Down to earth, open-minded,engaging, fun, athletic, hard working, mindful, etc etc. I love spending time with friends, having dinner parties and chilking, but have also been taking my studies quite seriously and making sacrifices when necessary... Luckily my studies are over so more time for the first part :) I love to cook and eat healthy, and stay as fit and active as possible. I've been recently practicing yoga more frequently which has been helpful, I'm working towards eventually doing a teacher training. I love listening to good music, dancing, also just jamming and beatboxing, singing , rapping having fun. Lots of reggae, hip hop and electronic. I just finished my undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, in political science. I tried to understand what makes people angry and protest, and what makes leaders improve the lives of their people, through democratization or otherwise. If you have the answer to any of these, please let me know, because I haven't figured it out yet.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am currently travelling South America: started in the north of Colombia and heading south. Instead of staying in hostels and mainly meeting other travellers, I would love to meet people who live here and see each place in a different way. I am eager to discuss and engage about your situation, politically or your family experience. Your hobbies or your profession. I love meeting new people and have found that the friendships I've made while travelling have been some of the most meaningful.
Music, Movies, and Books
My promised Land- Ari Shavit The New Jim Crow- Michelle Alexander Love Thy Nrighbour- Peter Maass Into the Quagmire- Brian Vandermark These books changed my life. Lots and lots of movies Lots and lots of music
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I love languages and understanding the grammar and pronunciation behind them, and I put extra effort into learning them when travelling. I can't say this for sure but I think that after these 4 months in South America, I'll be close to fluent in Spanish. That's pretty amazing, no?
Teach, Learn, Share
I was born and raised in Montreal - an incredible city which blends Canadian and Quebecois culture together in an amazing way. I have been raised on this great scene, with great music festivals, every day multicultural life, amazing night life, restaurant scene, etc etc. I would love to show you around Montreal if you came! I have lots of great spots to share. I can also help your language skills in English or French, Im quite good at both!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I think I can share a different world view.I can share good vibes and a smile. And of course, if you ever came to Montreal, I could return the favour to you and share my couch .
