About Me

I'm a doctoral student at Indiana University in Music Composition and currently living in Bloomington, IN. Though I was born and raised in Colombia, I arrived to the US in 2015 to pursue my MM degree — also at IU.
I am very passionate about music and arts in general — love to learn new things, watching films, and getting to know other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not very often I find a good excuse to travel other places but when I do it's quite to get to meet locals, even if it's for just a few days. My first time Couchsurfing was when I first came to Bloomington, and I had a wonderful experience with my hosts — So much so that we became close friends and get together with them almost every week.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Everything and nothing! I'm very open to different genres and aesthetics, specially when they aim to be more than just a commercial commodity:)

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Cet obscur objet du desir, Amelie, Reservoir Dogs, Trois Couleurs, Madeo, Snowpiercer, La Grande Belleza, The 'Before' Trilogy, Barton Fink, Big Lebowski, La Educación Prohibida, Hable con Ella, Die fetten jahre sind vorbei, Irreversible, La Venus a la fourrure, Das Experiment, Die Welle, El Topo, Sin City, Inglorious Basterds, and many many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having my first hiking experience in Mudeungsan Mountain in Gwangju, South Korea! It might not be an incredible thing to do but it was definitely a stupid one, since my legs stopped responding after making it to the top... Totally worth it though!

Teach, Learn, Share

As much as I can.
