i am a moth who wants to share your light

PHILOSOPHY

To be plain and simple, I'm a minimalist, and this goes down from the physical objects and things I own to the ideas I manifest in the mind. My perspective and values form in parallel with one another-- that is, while I have a true love for the universe and the understanding gained from science, I have fashioned this with my personal heart and fundamentally subjective nature. I find so much more is gained by placing oneself within the context of all other bodies and laws of Physics, than the stories and cathedrals built from humanity and its testament to self-importance. There is a kind of poetry in nature, in the evolutionary process of atoms, nebulae, stars, biology, and then the manifestation of the mind, conscious, sentient, and self-aware, whose faculties are used to reflect back upon these exact things, the theater-curtained origin, from which it originally sprang. The relative insignificance of the existence of life within the universe as a whole is not something to mourn; it should be cherished and an honor to have. Life is unique and devastating in its beauty, and the notion of death and our insignificance is all the more reason to completely, wholeheartedly love and embrace the rare, rare odds of being a human with an eye for observation, sentience, love, and fragility of existence within this vast, unknowable expanse of space and time that will stretch far beyond, before and after we are once again dusts of atoms.

So go out! fall in love, be honest, catch the sunrise without any sleep to fall back on, go out untethered into the darkness that is an unlocked door or an inviting field of moonlight and trembling wheat, bike directly to the home of a friend, singing back to the Starry Dome overhead, that turns a dial of planets and stars and galaxies while we continue with beating hearts and thoughtful minds in our short, sweet, wonderful lives.
