I am a doctoral student at a well-known government-funded university and have been living in Singapore for about 3 years. I loved this small tropical city very much because it has an excellent public transportation system and complete infrastructural facilities. Before I moved to Singapore, I have lived in Beijing, the capital of China for 4 yours and I did my undergraduate there. Before I moved to Beijing, I was born and have lived in Guilin for 18 years, which is a small but well-known city for the scenery with hills and rivers. I will become a globalist and love to talk and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. I will live in different places and travel a lot in the future to feel the world.

To meet different kinds of people and know a different culture. I plan a gap year to travel around the world. And I will probably use Couchsurfing as it's the best way to be integrated into the local life.

I also like traveling and hiking very much. I have taken part in multiple famous hiking trails (E.g. Mulu Pinnacle, Mount Rinjani Trekking, Sungai Lembing, Bako National Park) in several tropical countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. I am also quite familiar with the local tropical rainforest hiking trail in the central area of Singapore as I have been there for more than 20 times. I enjoy meeting people from around the world and guiding people and sharing my experience of hiking in the Singapore local tropical forest.
