Overview
About Me
I'm an easy-going the down-to-earth guy with a curious heart to experience anything new in life. Being a chubby boy in my childhood, I decided to build a good shape in my early twenties. The first sport I tried was tennis, which had been my favorite to watch since my teenage years. And then I started work out to gain muscles. Since graduating in 2008, I have been keeping doing a variety of sports after work time, including tennis, badminton, jogging, swimming and so on. Now I work out in the gym 5 times a week and always keep myself in good shape.
I love travelling! My first time abroad was a business trip in San Francisco in 2012. Though it was a short visit, I became interested to explore the outside world. I applied for the working holiday visa of New Zealand in 2013 and paid a short visit in Singapore when I transferred to New Zealand. I then lived in New Zealand for 2 years and traveled around this country. I also visited Niue, a country with a population less than 2000. I returned to my hometown Suzhou for some family issue in 2015, and had my travel plan suspended for a while. I resumed my journey in 2017, paying a 2-week visit to east Japan. In 2018, I visited Hawaii for 7 days in visited Japan again for 4 weeks. In March 2019, I left my job and travelled a lot. I visited Australia in March, and am traveling around Noth America and Caribbean. I started a new job in September 2019 and now stay in Eindhoven until February 2020.
Another big interest of mine is languages. I'd like to communicate with people all over the world and explore their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I registered a few years ago, I didn't have my first experience until my trip in Japan in 2018. I found it a very good way to make new friends and understand local life. I will continue couchsurfing in my future trips.
Interests
Tennis: When I was a chubby boy, I enjoyed watching tennis matches a lot. And when I finally decided to lose weight at 22 years old, I picked up the tennis racket my cousin gave me and made lots of friends in the tennis court. Fortunately, the company which offered my first job had a tennis club and I could play tennis with my colleagues for free every week. I should say tennis is a very important part of my life.
Languages: I love learning languages, which I've always regarded as a door to access different cultures and friends. As an advocate for my mother language Wu-Chinese, I've participated in many activities to promote its public use in my home town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lose weight!
So many fat people want to lose weight but very few can achieve that, and I'm one of them! And I did it twice in 2006 and 2018! Now I work out in the gym 5 times a week and always keep myself in good shape.
Visited Niue, which is a country with only a thousand people and can be circled around with 45 minutes.
Had a 73-day budget travel around Noth America and Caribbean with daily details all planned by myself.
