About Me
I am 21 years old and currently got some months of free time until July, which I want to use to see more of our fellow European countries. Most of the time in the past I just visited western and southern Europe, never really anything eastwards of Germany, which I want to change now.
Apart from outdoor activities like hiking or other sports like cycling, I am interested in politics and history.
I am travelling a lot, as I find that one can take in more of the history by visiting the countries, rather than just reading up on it. It is also facinating to interact with others and learn more about different cultural backgrounds and perspectives of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just want to meet people from all around and get to know them, maybe over a beer.
Many tourists are pretty "isolated", if that makes sense. Living in a hotel, apart from the locals and mostly visiting only the typical tourist attractions, while unknowingly skipping over some local gems. Couchserving, in my opinion, is the ideal opposite. Both locals and tourists find together and can learn from one another.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having spend the whole night with 20+ Serbs, Croatiens and Bosniaks in a packed tent in some random camping site in Croatia, all of whom I had never met.
The hospitality of them was up to that point unprecedented to me. Even though we came from different countries, grew up with different religions, spoke other languages, we all had a wonderful time.
We might often hear terrible story of hate and anger in the news, but at the end of the day everyone just wants to live in peace and thrives to having a good time. The previously mentioned night I spend in Croatia showed me that this is true, more than anything else could.
