Recent studies show that interbreeding between Neanderthals and Homo sapiens is unlikely to have caused a change in modern genetic make-up; any similarities observed in modern humans are likely to have derived from a common ancestor.
New DNA testing, taken from a modern male, has changed the ideas of genetics, and has currently taken our evolutionary timeline further back.
