Overview
About Me
CURRENT: CERN tech student!
MISCELLANEA:
I am Filippo Galli, robotics engineer and traveler. I was born in Monza, Italy and lived with my family for three years in Perù, as my parents were volunteering in the Amazons.
I have lived most of my life in Italy, playing drums and studying for my graduation. Lately, I stayed 7 months in Munich, Germany , 7 months in Los Angeles, California (where I interned at NASA jpl!) and I am currently living in France, near the border to Switzerland.
I am a passionate wanderer, and recently am more and more interested in lone travelling, as I find it the best way to get out of the comfort zone and therefore to meet locals.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling alone and get to know the locals. I believe Couchsurfing is a great chance to share common passions and experiences, and the best way to explore a new city or country with the tips and tricks of those who live in them.
Interests
I used to play drums and I made it to publish an album with my band 2-3 years ago. At the moment, studying, working and travelling highly limited my chances to play drums, but I still love going to concerts and listen to rock, electronic, funk and jazz music.
Science enthusiast, I enjoy stargazing. I had the great opportunity to make it a job, as I worked 6 months for NASA-JPL in Los Angeles, California.
I love playing outdoor sports and physical activities as soccer, surfing, hiking and athletics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time in Malibu, California, I was lucky enough to enjoy surfing while a group of dolphins decided to swim at about ten meters from where we were, and a beautiful sunset was painting the whole sky and sand in bright red&gold.
Teach, Learn, Share
Forgive me such a cliché, but yes, I am italian and I like to cook! I love it as a means of sharing cultures and pleasures, one of the dishes I'd be more than happy to prepare for the hosts is pasta alla carbonara... delicious!!
