About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be able to "pay it forward" after having had the most incredible experience Couchsurfing throughout Europe .
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from Italy and grew up in South Florida. For the past 4 years, I have been living and working in Washington DC. I truly love this city and love showing it off to visitors and demonstrating that there is so much more to this place than just politics! I work in television and feel very fortunate to do what I love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted and surfed for a year when I lived in Spain and got hooked! I love hosting people here in DC as often as I can, and hope to embark on another trip of my own again soon...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After recommendations from several different friends who had all participated in some capacity, I decided to give the CS experience a shot. I Cs-ed all around Spain and then for 2-months while I backpacked through Europe, I have only had wonderful experiences (both hosting and surfing). I have met some really incredible people and it has completely changed the way I travel and experience cities! It's such a great idea and program. I often find myself being an advocate for CS and defending it to people who think they know what it's all about but have actually never tried it themselves. :)
Interests
After having traveled all around Europe last year, I had been looking forward to actually having the opportunity to explore my own back yard this year, as I have never really traveled in the US. As luck would have it, I found a job that allows me to do just that. It's been great, as I am having the chance to travel to interesting places throughout America.
Most recent places: Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Moreover, I have a huge passion for Film! I enjoy experiencing different people and cultures, laughing (especially inappropriately),languages, music, pop culture and did I mention traveling? :)

Music, Movies, and Books
As I studied film at my university, my list of favorite films can go on-and-on (I love talking about all movies) but here are some that I enjoy:
La Vita é Bella, The Silence of the Lambs, American Beauty, Parenthood, L'Ultimo Bacio, E.T., In The Bedroom, Todo Sobre Mi Madre, The Graduate, Wayne's World, Magnolia, In America, Pleasantville, Poltergeist, Best In Show, What's Up Doc?, The Who's Tommy, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Jurassic Park, Young Frankenstein, and just about every film by my favorite director, Almodóvar...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm...
· I attended President Obama's inauguration.
· I climbed to the top of Masada, floated in the
Dead Sea and celebrated New Year's Eve with a
Bedouin tribe in the desert while in Israel.
· I was fortunate enough to shoot my senior thesis
short film in my hometown of Umbria, Italy.
· I got to film the live feed of the now world-famous, Decorah Eagles. And I was able to see it go from 7 million hits to 200 million hits and counting! In fact, this stream was recently bestowed with the amazing title of "most watched live stream from a single source -- ever."(ustream.tv/decoraheagles)
...I look forward to seeing and doing many more amazing things in my life!
