I'm couchsurfing to broaden my horizons, and to actually interact with real people. Plus I don't want to live out of hotels or hostels, I also think this is a great way to make friends. I've read bad experiences of people who just leave their stuff at someone's house and go out. I would like to connect with the host and actually enjoy doing things together as apposed to just using it as a free place to stay.
