About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Greet life with a smile, learn to cook, don't become a corporate junkie stuck in a cubicle, keep my tastebuds happy, support vegetarians and vegans even though I love red meat, explore the unbeaten paths, stimulate my mind

ABOUT ME

I'm 5 feet, without heels. Spunky, spontaneous, outgoing, and athletic. Love to eat, but I'm not fat (by American standards haha). Still sleep with my baby blanket. Love stuffed animals. Love Honda Civics, hate Hummers, Navigators, and Suburbans. Could talk all day about food. Love to travel. Atheist. Want to learn all the languages of the world. Played varsity tennis for Rice. Love San Diego's weather. Have ezcema. Grind my teeth at night. Obsessed with culinary gustations. Love the strong cheeses and combining ingredients that alone are great but together sometimes result in a kitchen disaster. Would love to own a restaurant someday and dream of becoming the world's greatest food critic. I have a twin and she is my best friend. Have the sweetest sweet tooth and love testing its limits. Warm apple pie a la mode is all I need. Happy 99.9% of the time. My dad used to tell me that if I kept on smiling as much as and as wide as I do, my face will split open because it's so huge. Used to pick my nose, but then again, everyone did. Have a bamboo plant and the yellow CareBear.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy. Be healthy. Enjoy every day. Appreciate family and respect your elders. A twin sister has been the best gift in my life. Never stop learning!!! If you find yourself bored or knowing what to expect, change something. It's healthy to sleep naked. Wear colorful underwear and walk with confidence. Don't tease people who aren't like you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted, been hosted, never doubted it, have always trusted it, met some amazing people through this website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was love at first sight.

Interests

eating, sushi, why humans are the only mammals to have sex in private, the Food Network, Lonely Planet, people who are obsessed about religion and politics (tend to stay away from them but nevertheless fascinated by them). Music is good for the soul. Love to run, spin, swim, be outside, and laugh. I'm obsessed with trying new, exciting, different cuisines. Life goal is to keep my tastebuds happy. Love to free read, love to travel, love to play the piano when there's noone around. Love to explore by foot and run through sprinklers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share the secret of how to make your eyes bug out when you wear really tight swim goggles - a pasttime at swim meets. I can teach you how to use chopsticks and how to prepare the perfect blend of wasabi and soy sauce. I want to learn languages. Goal is to become fluent in Mandarin and restaurant and kitchen French and Italian. I want to learn how to make a wood-fired pizza.
