About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I will finally have enough vacation days and money to start travelling the world, so I guess this would be a good place to start. I love to meet people from other countries and learn about their culture.

ABOUT ME

I am pretty low-key but I enjoy a night out with friends, out at a bar or in playing games. I enjoy going out to comedy clubs, the local indie theater, indie shows at the little local bars, or the improv comedy troupe in cleveland. In my spare time I like doing silly artsy stuff and have dreams of making a stop-motion animation film. I like to go out and about to take photos, sculpt things out of clay, write, daydream, read, and anything else creative I can come up with.

I prefer a good conversation to a loud bar or club with thumping music. My partying days are mostly done in exchange for more substantial and fulfilling interactions with people. The few friends I have I truly appreciate and I can spend hours just talking and laughing. Really open-minded people inspire me, and if you've learned why it makes sense to be understanding, accepting, and open, I'll love you no matter what your interests or opinions are.

PHILOSOPHY

I am happiest in my life when I am making connections with other people and being free. I don't like rules and structure so much, but I have learned to live with them. The biggest lesson I have learned lately is why it is important to take responsibility for your actions while at the same time be forgiving.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- Oldboy (or any Chan-Wook Park), Harold and Maude, Amelie, Exit Through the Gift Shop, loved Black Swan, Pan's Labyrinth, quality and non-quality horror.

Music- I really am getting into world music Dengue Fever, Die Antwoord, DVA. Indie stuff like Animal Collective, Here We Go Magic, Yeasayer. I love bluegrass too, anything with a banjo and fiddle. Electronic music, specifically mellow dubstep - James Blake, Phaeleh or anything with interesting samples put together in new ways.

Books- HUGE Hesse fan, Tom Robbins, Dave Eggers, David Sedaris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The coolest thing I've seen was in St. Croix in the Virgin Islands. We were hanging out on the beach and baby sea turtles started hatching beneath the sand and started making their way to the water. Its illegal to disturb the turtles, but everyone was carrying them to the water. I jumped into the water and swam with a teeny tiny turtle. It was really amazing.

I've also been to amazing places like Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon and was lucky enough to see the Mayan ruins of Tulum.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a jack of all trades, master of none (except maybe electron microscopy, but thats a necessity). But I love to learn what others have to share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, U.S.
