About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience all that I can in life, meet interesting people, and explore as much of the world as I can.

ABOUT ME

I am pretty easy going, very outdoorsy, like to do fun things and am not too picky about where I sleep

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just a surfer for now, but hope I can host later, when I'm home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this. I really want to try it, though, as it seems a good way to travel on a budget and meet local people.

Interests

I like to travel to new places and am always up for trying new things. I love to hike and do other outdoor activities as well. When visiting different places, I really like to get an authentic feel for the place from the perspective of a local, not as a tourist, and I really like to learn about the local culture. I am also a musician and sometimes bring instruments with me on my trips.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classic rock (Led Zeppelin), mostly fantasy and fiction as far as books are concerned, and I like literally any and all kinds of movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Led a 5 day backpacking expedition through the Grand Canyon. I actually go paid for it, too, because it was part of my job. It sure beat the hell out of working at Red Lobster. Also went to Europe for 6 months

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit about music, and could probably help you out if you are a beginner stringed instrument player. I also know quite a bit of Spanish, as well as a lot of outdoor and backpacking skills. And I could tell you a lot about movies (especially Star Wars, my childhood obsession), and can readily answer any query you might have about the menu at Red Lobster. I love to learn anything new that I can, really, and especially love a good conversation in Spanish, a good game of chess, and any information about new places I can visit.
