About Me

Vegetarian, Father of a boy (Liam) born October 2007, mostly traveling with him during the summer. French born, former UK resident, Canadian since 2004. Cat owner (a Sphynx called Gaston). Passionate about many thing (Eco life style, literature, music, Citroen, cooking etc...).

If you wish to send me a request, please note that I do not have any WIFI (only use cellular data). I would share a hotspot for obvious emergency situation. Free WIFI is available at the IKEA store (10 minutes walk), or the public library + the obvious random café / restaurant etc.... It's worth to mention that I don't have a microwave either !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a very social individual and so is my son. Beyond the obvious financial aspect of couchsurfing, it makes a lot of sens : Social, networking, sharing etc...
I must point out that my initial and immediate reason is to 'drivewaysurf'. We are traveling in a very compact set-up made of a small frugal car and a travel trailer that I purposely built for our road trips (in the US & Canada). We love it. It has many benefits, including to be of very little disturbance since all we need is a spot to park, a bit of water and that's about it ! There's other organisations out there that are specific to Boondocking on private properties but sadly, their T&C's are quite discriminating. Our Camper must be a 'proper' one with all the amenities that we don't need. So I'm hoping we'll be luckier with this platform.
Of course, I am not excluding the idea of couchsurfing in a more conventional way should the need arise !
We're looking forward to meeting you some day ....
