Hello! I'm currently a medical student, specializing in genetics and nutrition. I also am in a master's program for acupuncture. When I'm not in class or at medical conferences, I moonlight as a musician in NYC. I've been pursuing music on the side for a while, and it is such an essential part of my life. It is how I express myself and commune with people. I hope to share music, laughter, and love with you all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and getting to know locals. I'm not one for fancy hotels and genuinely enjoy sleeping on couches and floors! Additionally, I think that couchsurfing can open my life up to meeting amazing new people and experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've competed in an international singing competition in Beijing, China. I made it through top 40, 20 and top 10. I was eliminated going into top 6. Although it was a fun experience and I met some amazing people, the competition and animosity being on a "reality singing competition" was not my cup of tea. I'd like to stick to music where it's not a "performance" but a shared experience with no expectations or competition.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching about the unique medicine I plan on practicing, and sharing the music I make. I usually carry an acoustic guitar with me if I'm on "tour" and love singing the covers and music I've written. I also LOVE cooking for people, so if you want some authentic Hunan Chinese food made from the recipes my grandma taught me, then invite me over and I'll shower you with all the Chinese food!!
