我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Stayed with my ex for the last 2 and something years to finish my Masters in Education and save up to pay off my student loan - and to be closer to my boys. Now, this does not work any longer and I am looking for a place to rent on my own. This is harder than I anticipated, as I am a single parent household making too little to get into a house for many renters. Just have to keep looking until I find something.

Right after my Hotel Management degree, I worked on a small sailboat around the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean for 6 months. Another great thing I have done was travel in an Oldsmobile across the US for 3 weeks, meeting tons of great people and seeing soooo many great places.

My father was a teacher and I never wanted to follow his footsteps. However, throughout my life, I found myself teaching children and peers many times and actually enjoying it. But I love learning new things just as much as I enjoy teaching.

My experiences, handiwork around the house - well, easy stuff. I have painted, put down tiles with help, built an array of shelves and a bunkbed. And although I like to be able and continue working doing Doordash, I would be happy to help out around the house. Oh, and I make great German pancakes filled with cheese. =)
