Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we are getting older a lot of my friends burst out of their cocoons, spread their wings and relocated to the most amazing places, staying with them, meeting new people who in turn would come to stay with me has changed my view on travelling. I love breaking that tourist bubble of getting on and of of busses just to take pictures of pretty things. What makes a place special is the people that live there and the memories they make. In addition to seeing bits and pieces of the world I love visiting someones world. In that way you can learn about the beauty of places beyond touristic highlights and return the favour while at home.

Well yes, looking at my list of interests I am aware they resemble those of someone 60 years my senior. No, I have no clue how it happened. But yes, I too am surprised about the amount of people that still want to hang out with me ;)

Once when I was five I fell on my head and starting crying because I was scared my lice got hurt.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An incredible live performance alternating between impressions of sleeping beauty and a bouncy ball. Also I do spoken word poetry, am great at reading things out loud, make for some pretty decent conversation, and will probably feel just awkward enough not to make a mess, but comfortable enough to be good company.
