About Me

I'm currently a resident of Los Angeles, CA, bouncing back and forth between here and the east coast. An avid book reader, passionate musician, arts-and-crafts junkie, you'll find that I am all about creative living and fostering relationships through that mentality. I'm planning on wholeheartedly starting my international travels this fall, first stop: Southeast Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always heard amazing things about Couchsurfing. In fact, my mom has been a member for years and absolutely loves it. I am one of four members in an rnb/soul girl group called DOSE, and we get together every month to write music, record in the studio, and have music video/photo shoots. The 4 of us all live in different cities across the United States. Our lodging plans fell through last minute, so I'm here on Couchsurfing for help :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste covers the entire spectrum... I love pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, RnB, soul, bossa nova, jazz, classical etc.
Right now I'm re-listening to NAO, Tame Impala, Nothing But Thieves. I absolutely love going back to Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple, Banks, Thrice.... all amazing songwriters.

I love watching movies, but I'm not a huge movie buff... I tend to like everything I watch. Just saw Conair for the first time with a friend. It was pretty good.

For a while I was reading purely on the metaphysical and spiritual healing, things like that. I work in Eastern medicine by day, and I'm extremely fascinated by bioenergetics. But recently a gem I found is called "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's about the mysteries of inspiration and the relationship with creativity.

And of course, you can't go wrong with the Harry Potter series!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was once a finalist on season 3 of the X Factor, before it got taken off the air. I had just moved to Los Angeles for college and was convinced by my first group of friends to audition just for fun. We ended up making it in front of the Simon and all the judges, purely because our friendship had an entertaining energy of its own. Sadly, the judges said no the our group of 5 going to the next round. But they singled me out and wanted me to continue as a solo artist. And while I went through the next few rounds as a solo artist and the opportunity was amazing, it was not nearly as fun as experiencing the entire process with friends. Since then, I've made it a huge point in my artistic endeavors to create collaborative environments. Creative collectives. It's a dream of mine to start a Wellness/Creative Collective of some sort, where artists can come together with a wellness intention and create from a state of optimal health and clear channeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm suuuuper involved in Eastern medicine/integrative health. I assist Dr. Aristotle of the Wellness Clinic of Beverly Hills. We treat patients with an integrative approach and specialize in bioenergetic healing. Essentially, blending Eastern philosophies with Western technology to ensure optimal energetic balance and overall health. There are helpful procedures I do in the practice that can be taught to anyone on the planet and provide incredible health benefits. I love educating individuals on this topic if they express any interest. I believe this information needs to be shared with the world.

Additionally, I am a musician. Singer/Songwriter, if you want to call it that. I play guitar and piano and produce music. I'm about to embark upon my incubation journey (this fall when I move abroad), where I focus on music as a priority and creating a clear channel for any and all creativity that chooses to move through me. I love partaking in jam sessions, whether or not the other people involved claim to be "good" at music. If you have a voice, you can sing. If you can move your legs, you can dance. Group collaboration on music projects is another thing I'm exploring right now. I released a couple songs on a music label within the past year, and they've all been collabs. I want to continue exploring that dynamic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My genuine appreciation and gratitude for life has put me in situations with other like-minded people, and I actively seek that feeling tone in every scenario. Whether I'm alone or in a room full of people, my approach to life is always one of wonder and curiosity. Because you never know what could happen in the moment. I love other people who also have a lighthearted take on life. As humans, I believe we have a responsibility to see the world, to immerse ourselves in other cultures, to connect with other humans, to explore the vast states of compassion and love. I am honored to meet you.
