Overview
About Me
Hello, My name is Gabor and I come from China. I major in government and International Relations in an international school. It is my last semester in my university and I am relatively free before i get a real job. Therefore, I would like to host people in my apartment and have some talks.
I really love communicating with people from different places because I have a strong curiosity for different knowledge, especially for culture and sociology or maybe just your personal story. Of Course, for me, it is about the QUALITY of Communication rather than the Quantity.
But my home is not a free hotel for the business purpose but just want to provide a place for cultural exchange. I would like to host the people who can have mutual respects.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am still kind of new as Couch surfer and Sometimes may hosting my friends from the other part of countries. The reason why I am on couch surfing is inspired by my host in Helsinki who have a good time with me in Finland.
#1 I love to making friends. Everyone has its own story and it would be great to hear people's new idea. I appreciate the time when people not just focus on their phone and any digital devices but have real talk. Since i still study in my campus, I cannot have so much time to explore the world but I would like to hear the story from all over the world.
#2 I love my apartment My apartment is not so fancy and not in good design (I am not the designer) but it still feel cozy and lovely. I try to make my life more colorful with a better lifestyle. I would love to cook a meal for guests, decorate the house in some festival or even light a candle when it's in winter.
#3 Guangzhou Guangzhou Guangzhou- The place I try to explore
Guangzhou is not my hometown.I don't have any sense of belonging to any city yet since I just not stay a place for a long time. Even my apartment has already been there for 10 years, I still feel it new towards the city. Before I move to Shenzhen this fall, I hope I will know guangzhou more and explore it with you.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: TBH, I don't have particular preference about the music because I believe the kinds of music are the way for people expressing their different feelings. I am not good at singing but i really enjoy the rhythm of the music (may be pop music?). I love listening music while I am cleaning the house.
Movie: I love documentary and always watching US and Korean Drama. Really love comedy and some story which encourage to be a better person.("Wonder is kind of good movie for me)
Book: About politics, history, sociology. now I read more than before since I found something from book is much more interesting than the cellphone. (And also watching some design book)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was spending 6 weeks in Helsinki as a global volunteer and I have such a good team and we empower the woman in Helsinki together. With my 10 female teammates, we not only try our best to help the woman in here but also we come from nine different countries and we shared the different point of view and different culture. Unlike what we expected at the beginning of the project, we learn more from the female asylum seekers rather than what we teach them.
In fact, I lied to my parents about the content of the project because they cannot understand what is asylum seeker for them and the meaning of voluntary work. I hate to lie to people but I feel this is the right decision for me to lie for this. And I hope one day I can meet my teammates again and have fun together again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook some easy Chinese cuisine even I also learn how to cook Chinese food in Finland. But I mean the food made with hearts and happiness would taste bad. And I also willing to have a meal with you and you can also teach me how to make the local food.
After high school, I mainly stay in different cities in southern part of China because I always want to experience different kinds of life. And actually, even my family bought houses in Guangzhou for more than ten years, I don't know the city a lot or maybe I mainly just experience the urban part of the city. Then if I host you, it mostly means I have time to discover the city with you or maybe we can learn the history of the city together.
I also can speak two different Chinese and I will really happy to teach you how to speak Chinese. I also can share my personal story of Chinese life to you also.
For example:
Thank You, 谢谢(Xie Xie- Chinese), 唔该(Wu Gai- Cantonese)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my two overseas voluntary experience and also the voluntary activities in China with you.
I can share Chinese University life with you, maybe online shopping and maybe what kind of things we will learn from the school.
If you are interested in the Chinese Society or history, I also really happy to tell you.(Or you can also share your countries story with me and I will be super excited about that).
I also can teach you Chinese and some basic Korean.
I ama funny Chinese girl and I think I can make you laugh because I have so many embarrassing things and some jokes. My friends always called me #crazy Gabor...
